We have had Arlington Heating and Air Conditioning provide installation and maintenance for almost 30 years, across three houses. I first learned about them when I obtained bids for a new furnace. They were not the lowest price, but they gave good technical advice on the new design. Those traits have not changed - they are still providing great advice!

I recently had Stanley come out to perform routine maintenance on my heat pumps, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the service. From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of my time and home.

Stanley arrived promptly at the scheduled time and immediately got to work. The maintenance itself was thorough—he checked refrigerant levels, cleaned the coils, inspected electrical connections, and made sure everything was running efficiently.

The technician was professional and courteous. But after he left we discovered that his test equipment for our external AC unit had blown out the exterior power outlet he used to power his test set. Perhaps this could not be prevented, but it caught us by surprise. It’s not a circuit breaker reset so now we need an electrician to assess and fix my external power outlet.

“Nothing like a blank thermostat screen on a 3-day weekend a few days before weather is forecast to be in the teens. I have a service inspection contract with Arlington Heating and Cooling, made an emergency services call, and learned it was an exceptionally busy time and they would send a tech expert ASAP. That didn’t happen until the next day, but mild (for winter) conditions and a couple space heaters got us to President’s Day when a very early call from the office reconfirmed the Sunday message. Martin showed up and saved the day. He is our regular professional, knows our system and was surprised that I had a problem. In no time he analyzed the situation, fixed the offending components, and left us with a quickly heating home. Martin is a gem, totally professional and technically agile and skilled, while the team at the home office are attentive and focused. Thank you Martin and Arlington Heating and Cooling.”

I am a new customer, and very happy I reached out to this company. Another large company said that I needed either thousands of $ worth of money to repair my current system or consider a new system, although their visit was for maintenance
and not an issue...AC working fine.

The technician (Richard) said everything looked fine and did not recommend any repairs or replacement. I had requested they also send someone to quote a new system, just in case. Peter came out, and was very patient in explaining various things to consider if I did need replacement. Both men were very helpful.

I have signed a maintenance agreement with this company and feel very comfortable and secure in knowing they are honest and their technicians do not work on a commission basis...something they warned me about with some other companies.

I thank Arlington Heat and AC for their honesty, and I look forward to doing business with them.

The BEST HVAC service company in the DMV. Hands down. I used 2 other companies before finally connecting with Arlington Heating and Air Conditioning and that was 3 years ago. Since then, they have made several checkups on our HVAC system on a regular 6-month interval and also redid my attic duct work and then did an aero seal treatment that changed our HVAC efficiency form 35% air flow to 96%. This was on a unit that is now 17 years old. Like me, I'm certain that whoever is reading this is concerned with the cost. Compared to the other companies who did shoddy work, disconnected my attic ducts and then failed to reconnect them causing our HVAC system to not be able to keep the house warm in the winter or cool in the summer for over 4 years until Arlington showed up, did an inspection and quickly saw the problem and just as quickly corrected it, Arlington won us over for good. I have referred this great company to several neighbors who have also had the same great experience. So, unless you have $ to burn and are not concerned with quality service, give these folks a call the next time you need HVAC work done from checkup, repair to installation of a new system.
